This is a very interesting offering from LELO. I haven’t really seen anything quite like it on the market. Perhaps in the past I’ve come across double-ended dildos, but this is far more sophisticated and offers many more ways to use it.
A boomerang, as we know, is something that comes back to you when you throw it. And in this case, if you share it, hopefully the person will come back to you too, if that’s mutually desired, of course. That said, it’s not just for sharing. Maybe you don’t want to share at all, and that was actually my experience with Boomerang.
But if you do want to share, let me go into detail about what this product is and how it works.
What is the LELO Boomerang?
The LELO Boomerang is a long, double-ended dildo with a ribbed, textured surface. In the middle, you’ll find the buttons to control the device, and this also defines the insertable length.
Even though it may look quite long when you see the full product, the insertable length on each end is not that much. It’s around 10 cm per side, which makes it much more manageable and less intimidating than it first appears.
It’s also compatible with the LELO app. Instead of reaching down to change settings, you can simply swipe your phone screen and adjust everything according to your preferences. You can also surrender control to a partner using the Love Bridge feature, which enables long-distance interaction.
Packaging
LELO Boomerang is presented in a box with a hygiene seal, which is always reassuring.
Inside, you’ll find:
- A drawstring storage pouch
- A sachet of LELO personal moisturiser, which is water-based, paraben-free and glycerine-free
- A USB charging cable
- A warranty registration card
As always with LELO, the packaging feels premium and well thought out.
Material and Design
The Boomerang is made from body-safe silicone and ABS plastic.
The texture is ribbed and soft on the insertable ends, which are flexible and comfortable. The centre section, where the buttons and metallic plate are located, is more rigid.
This contrast between flexibility and structure is quite interesting, as it gives you both comfort and control.
It is compatible with water-based lubricants, such as the LELO personal moisturiser, and it is fully waterproof to IPX7 standards. This means you can use it in the bath or shower without any issues, either alone or with a partner.
Strength of Motor
The motor is deep, rumbly, and very satisfying.
There are:
- 8 built-in vibration patterns
- 2 additional patterns available via the app
- 16 levels of intensity
So there are definitely a lot of pleasure possibilities to explore, whether you prefer something subtle or more intense.
Noise Level
Nothing too scandalous in terms of noise.

Usability and Controls
LELO Boomerang comes with a travel lock, which is useful if you’re taking it with you.
When teh sex toy arrives, the travel lock will likely be activated. To unlock it:
- Press the plus and minus buttons together for a few seconds
- The LED light will flash to confirm
To lock it again, simply repeat the same process.
There are three buttons:
- Plus
- Minus
- A central button with a diamond shape
To switch it on:
- Press the central button
This activates the first vibration setting, which is deep and rumbly. You can cycle through the different patterns by pressing this button again. There are eight in total.
You can increase or decrease intensity using the plus and minus buttons, giving you access to all 16 levels.
If you want to use just one end of the vibrator, you can double press the central button quickly. This allows you to alternate between ends. This is particularly useful for solo use and also helps to save battery.
Speaking of battery:
- It takes around 2 hours to charge
- A full charge lasts about 2 hours
- The device automatically switches off after 20 minutes, although you can adjust this in the app
Ways to Use It
If you’re using it solo, it’s actually quite nice to use LELO Boomerang almost like a wand vibrator before moving into more direct stimulation.
Because it’s long and flexible, you can hold one end like a handle, and use the other end externally. You can place it between your thighs and move it around in circles, which creates a more diffused and full sensation.
It’s not just about using the tip on the clitoris. Letting the length of the toy rest between your thighs allows you to stimulate the entire vulva and perineum, which feels very different and more expansive.
You can still easily reach the buttons to adjust intensity or change patterns while using it this way.
This is also something that works well with a partner.
Although the suggested use in the LELO app focuses on two women, it can absolutely be used with a male partner as well. For example, if your partner is open to pegging, you could use one end for penetration while keeping the other end against your body.
It can also be used externally on a male partner, particularly on the perineum, which is the area between the testicles and the anus. This is a very sensitive area that is often overlooked.
You can also both hold it between your thighs, regardless of gender, and explore shared sensations that way.
For two women, it can be used for vaginal penetration while facing each other, for example, during scissoring. What I like about this is that the size is actually manageable. In my experience, many toys designed for shared use are too large, whereas this feels more accessible and comfortable.
Using the LELO App
Using the LELO app is very intuitive.
You simply download it, connect the sex toy, and then you can:
- Customise vibration patterns
- Remove the ones you don’t use
- Explore motion-based controls like shaking or rotating your phone
- Use long-distance control with the Love Bridge feature
This is a great way to stay connected with a partner when you’re not physically together.
If you’re using it solo, there are also modes that allow you to surrender control.
These include:
- Finish Me Off, which gradually builds intensity towards orgasm
- Out of Control, which creates unpredictable patterns
This can feel like someone else is in control, which adds a different psychological dimension, especially if you enjoy that kind of dynamic.
Orgasm-O-Bility
Orgasms were very satisfying.
Using it externally, especially in a wand-like way, felt particularly effective. Having the tip on the clitoris while using the rest of the toy to create movement and friction adds a lot more stimulation.

I can’t think of any major drawbacks. It does what it sets out to do.
If I were to improve anything, I would make it slightly more adjustable in terms of angles. The rigid centre means you can’t bring both bodies completely together during partnered use.

Final Thoughts
LELO Boomerang is a genuinely unique product. Whether you choose to share it or keep it entirely to yourself, it offers a lot of versatility and creativity.
